A large dramatic opposing cluster of sharply terminated amethyst crystals included-with and coated-with hematite. Rust-red Hematite coats one side of this excellent piece. The other side reveals the glassy, translucence of the blush-purple crystals included-with bright brick-red hematite. The coated side is very good condition , with only small bruising to the tip of the large crystal. Nearly a floater, the back side has only a modest bit of contacting and one small point of attachment. The specimen displays well from both sides and from two angles. From the Orange River area, Northern Cape, South Africa. Dimensions 7.9 x 7.4 x 5.0 cm., 261 grams
