Red brown Andradite-Grossular Garnet crystals on an Epidote rich matrix. The garnets at Marmora are typically zoned between andradite and grossular. (both species present). The Garnets range in size up to 1.5cm and nice luster. Saw cut on thhe bottom it sits up perfectly for display. This locality is no longer open to collecting so specimens are getting hard to come by. From the Marmoraton Iron Mine, Marmora Ontario Canada. Overall dimensions a large cabinet specimen at 13x9x7cm 812 grams.
