Herringbone-Arborescent Silver Crystals Millerett Mine, Haultain Township, Ontario 4.5cm CO203
This is a beautiful specimen of very high grade herringbone and arborescent Silver in Calcite. The Silver herringbones and arborescent patterns are coated in the shiny grey Cobalt arsenide. The Calcite has been partially etched away to expose the intricate Silver crystals. A Silver leaf covers parts of the top of the specimen. A nice example from the lesser known locality the Millerett Mine Haultain Township, Gowganda area Ontario Canada. This mine had very rich veins but production only lasted from 1909 until 1912 as the ore ran out. Specimens are not frequently seen on the market. Dimensions 4.5x4x2.25cm 81 grams.
