Red brown Andradite-Grossular Garnet crystals on an Epidote rich matrix. The garnets at Marmora are typically zoned between andradite and grossular. (both species present). The Garnets range in size up to 1cm and nice luster. A few Feldspar crystals are also on the matrix as well. Saw cut on the back and bottom it sits up perfectly for display. This locality is no longer open to collecting so specimens are getting hard to come by. From the Marmoraton Iron Mine, Marmora Ontario Canada. Overall dimensions 10x8x6cm 636 grams.
