Herringbone-Arborescent Silver Crystals Millerett Mine, Haultain Township, Ontario 3cm CO194
This is a beautiful specimen of very high grade herringbone and arborescent Silver in Calcite. The Silver herringbones and arborescent patterns are coated in the shiny grey Cobalt arsenide. The Calcite has been etched away to expose the intricate Silver crystals. A Silver leaf covers part of the top of the specimen. A nice miniature example from the lesser known locality the Millerett Mine Haultain Township, Gowganda area Ontario Canada. This mine had very rich veins but production only lasted from 1909 until 1912 as the ore ran out. Specimens are not frequently seen on the market. Dimensions 3x2.75x2cm 26 grams.
