Some of the most distinctive quartz specimens found in Alpine deposits of Europe and Pakistan are the attractive "faden" crystal groups. This specimen shows the classic "faden" (German word for string) form that is well known from this locality. The largest crystal has nice translucency and is 2.5cm wide and 0.5cm thick. This crystal features a flat-tabular form with sharp beveled edges. In very good condition overall. The video really tells the sculptural nature of the specimen.
