Rich arborescent Silver in Calcite 2 Pieces, Millerett Mine, Ontario 9cm & 8.5cm CO181
This is a nice specimen of high grade arborescent pattern Silver in Calcite. The bright white Silver in arborescent patterns is coated in the shiny grey Cobalt arsenide. Smaller spider webs of Silver also run throughout the calcite. The is a two piece set from a saw cut vein section with two cut faces. Plenty of Silver poking out from the uncut sides as well. A good athetic specimen from the lesser known locality the Millerett Mine Haultain Township, Gowganda area Ontario Canada. This mine had very rich veins but production only lasted from 1909 until 1912 as the ore ran out. Specimens are not frequently seen on the market. Dimensions 11x3x1cm 87 grams and 8.5x2.5x1 72.9 grams.
