Fluoro-Richterite crystals in Calcite, Essonville roadcut near Wilberforce, Ontario 12cm GN30
Large flat prisms of the rare Amphibole Fluoro-Richterite are set in the calcite matrix on this dramatic large specimen from this well-known roadcut locality. The crystals range in size up to 5cm long. As an added bonus the white calcite has pink fluorescence under longwave UV. In good condition overall. Some of the crystals have contacts and/or have cleaves. From the Essonville fluoro-richterite occurrence (Essonville roadcut), Monmouth Township, Haliburton County, Ontario, Canada (near Wilberforce Ontario) This occurrence has been for the most part exhausted and few specimens are to be found.
