Some of the most distinctive quartz specimens found in Alpine deposits of Europe and Pakistan are the attractive "faden" crystal groups. This specimen shows the classic "faden" (German word for string) form that is well known from this locality. The piece exhibits a faden line that runs across the translucent largest crystal which is 8cm long and 2cm thick. This crystal features a flat-tabular form with sharp beveled edges. central.
