Translucent Tabular Quartz variety Faden, Balochistan Region Pakistan, 13cm PK38
Some of the most distinctive quartz specimens found in Alpine deposits of Europe and Pakistan are the attractive "faden" crystal groups. This specimen shows the classic "faden" (German word for string) form that is well known from this locality. The piece exhibits a faden line that runs across the translucent largest crystal which is 7cm long. Numerous crystals in a flat-tabular form with sharp beveled edges are are arranged on a central spine. In very good condition overall. There what appears to be an attached point from the pocket it was removed. The video really tells the sculptural nature of the specimen. From the Zhob District Balochistan Region Pakistan.
