High grade Silver in Calcite, Siscoe-O'Brien Mine,Nicol Township, Gowganda, Ontario 8.5cm CO133
Rich bright Silver associated with Cobalt arsenide is hosted in a molted grey and white Calcite. Silver occurs in veinlets but is also hosted in the Cobalt mineralization which runs in a band across the specimen . Silver is also on the top side if the slice as well. The Calcite in part shows a flowing banded structure in one half. The other half the Calcite has a more clastic appearance. A quite aesthetic saw cut specimen from the Siscoe Mine (Miller Lake O'Brien Mine) Nicol Township, Gowganda area Ontario Canada. This mine produced over 36 million oz. of Silver.
