High Grade Silver in Nickeline La Rose Mine Coleman Township near Cobalt Ontario 6.5cm CO126
Rich bright white Silver veins are set in bronze Nickeline provide a nice contrast in this specimen. Under closer inspection pinkish bronze areas of the mineral Breithauptite are also present. The green patches on the exterior or non-cut sections are the weathering of the Nickeline into the mineral Annabergite. A few small pink patches are the weathering of the Cobalt minerals into the mineral Erythrite indicating a lesser amount Cobalt arsenide is also present. This is saw cut vein section. A very good high grade example from famous La Rose Mine Coleman Township, Timiskaming District near Cobalt, Ontario. Dimensions are 6.5x4.5x1.25cm (max thickness) 80.6 grams.
