High Grade Silver in Nickel & Cobalt mineralization Seneca Superior Mine Cobalt area 7.5cm CO116
Very rich bright white Silver cores metallic grey Rammelsbergite set in Dolomite. This is an end cut sawn vein section. Lots of silver in this one. The green patches on the exterior or non-cut sections are the weathering of the Rammelsbergite into the mineral Annabergite. Also present are a few tiny pink patches of Erythrite indicating a small amount of Cobalt . A very high grade specimen with a beautiful pattern. From a hard-to-find locality the Seneca Superior Mine Coleman Township, Timiskaming District near Cobalt, Ontario. Dimensions are 7.5x5x1 (tapering to .5cm) cm Weighs a hefty 100 grams due to the metal content.
