Translucent Cobalt Blue Fluorite, Yaogangxian Mine, Chenzhou, Hunan, China 7cm CH38
A striking grouping of translucent cobalt blue coloured Fluorite cubes. The largest cube is 2.5cm on edge. The Fluorite features excellent translucency and luster. Towards the outer edge of the cubes a darker blue rim helps to highlight the grouping. Associated with the Fluorite is 1cm Quartz crystal. The Fluorite has strong fluorescence under long wave UV light. The overall condition of the specimen is very good. On back side is an attachment point. A contacted area is present on the back side but is not visible from the display side. From the Yaogangxian Mine, Yaogangxian W-Sn ore field, Yizhang Co., Chenzhou, Hunan, China.
