Deep Red Spessartine Garnets on Microcline Crystals Wushan Mine, Tongbei, China, 9cm CH33
An aesthetic specimen of deep red Spessartine Garnets on a field of tan colored Microcline feldspar crystals. The garnets range in size from 1-4mm have the classic rhombic dodecahedron shape. Some have striated faces and feature excellent luster. The Microcline crystals range in size from 2-5mm. There is a 2cm Smoky Quartz crystal near the edge of the display face. The back side has been trimmed exposing a larger incomplete Smoky Quartz. Overall condition is very good. The 2cm Smoky Quartz has an incomplete termination.
