An aesthetic specimen of numerous translucent purple phantom Fluorite associated with Quartz and Ferberite . The cubes of Fluorite range in size from 2mm to 5mm. The Quartz occurs as milky white slender crystals. Ferberite is scattered through the specimen and in areas it occurs in thin bladed crystals. Ferberite is an important ore of the metal tungsten. The Fluorite has strong blue fluorescence under long wave UV light. The base has been saw cut so this triangular specimen sits up perfectly for display. Overall condition is very good with some edge wear to the Fluorite. From the Yaogangxian Mine, Yaogangxian W-Sn ore field, Yizhang Co., Chenzhou, Hunan, China. Dimensions 8x8x5 cm. 304.7 grams.
