Beautiful deep red Grossular Garnets var. Hessonite on an Albite matrix. The Garnets have very good luster and are mainly clustered in two areas on the display face. They range in size from 1mm to 90mm and are rhombic-dodecahedrons in form. Their is a nice 1.5cm Albite Feldspar crystal on the matrix as well. In good overall condition. A few of the Garnets have contacts. A very attractive specimen which displays well from different angles. From Nuristan Afghanistan. Dimensions are 9x6.75x3cm 136.5 grams.
