Purple Phantom Fluorite with Quartz, Calcite & Dolomite, Shangbao Mine, Hunan China 7.5cm CH22
A 2.5x2cm grouping of purple Fluorite with octahedral modifications nests in Quartz and Dolomite crystals. The Fluorite has purple phantoms and features stepped or laddered faces. The cubes have excellent luster and translucency. Scattered on the display face are some Pyrite cubes and Calcite crystals. The Fluorite fluoresces electric blue and the Calcite orange under long wave UV light. The back of the matrix has been saw trimmed. Well known for its Fluorite this specimen is from the Shangbao Mine, Leiyang Co.,Hengyang, Hunan, China. Dimensions 7x5.5x4cm 120.5 grams.
