 A 2.75 cm long Lilac purple Fluorapatite crystal perched on blades of pearly white Albite Feldspar. The Fluorapatite crystals has a unique morphology. It is a fattened wedge shape. The crystal also exhibits a darker purple rim. The Fluorapatite has very strong orange fluorescence (long wave UV) which becomes more yellow from edge into the centre. Excellent overall condition. A beautiful aesthetic miniature specimen from the Mawi pegmatite, Nilaw-Kolum pegmatite field, Nuristan, Afghanistan. Overall dimensions 4x2.75x3.5cm 17 grams.
