Translucent lustrous Lilac Fluorapatite crystals, Mawi Pegmatite, Nuristan Afghanistan, 6cm AFG15
Gorgeous transparent Lilac purple Fluorapatite crystals perched on a Feldspar and Quartz matrix. The crystals are slender prisms unlike the more common tabular prisms found in the region. They feature outstanding translucency and luster to a point of being gemmy. The main cluster is 3x2cm wide and the other 1cm. Crystals range in size from 1mm to 5mm. The Fluorapatite has nice yellow-orange fluorescence under long wave UV. Excellent overall condition.
