An interesting locality piece from a roadcut that first produced Garnets in 1960's. Bright red grossular Garnets var. Hessonite in Diopside Calcite matrix. The Garnets range in size from 1-3mm. Some crude Diopside crystals are also present on the matrix as well. This piece was etched to remove some Calcite to better expose the Garnets. Dimensions 7x6.5x2cm 125 grams.
