This specimen features three good sized Jet-black Spinel crystals on a Forsterite matrix. The Spinel (up to 1.25cm in size) have excellent luster and feature the classic octahedral form. The green gem variety of Forsterite is known as Peridot. The Calcite in this specimen has been etched away to expose the Spinel and Forsterite. From the well-known now closed to collecting Canadian locality Parker Mine, Notre-Dame-du-Laus, Antoine-Labelle RCM, Laurentides, Québec, Canada. Dimensions are 4x2.5x2cm 25.8 grams.
