Zoned Golden Purple-Blue Fluorite Cave in Rock Illinois 4.5cm USA5
A gorgeous example of multicolor fluorite from this famed Illinois locale. This specimen consists of a sharp, cubic crystal of fluorite that exhibits lustrous faces and gemmy clarity with a rich golden yellow core and a sharply defined zone of blue and purple at the perimeter. The Fluorite is dotted with sparkly Chalcopyrite on one side. A small Calcite crystal is also on this side. The Fluorite does have some edge wear-chipping-cleavage. None the less a very attractive example with excellent zoning and colour. It comes with a older collection label. From the Cave-in-Rock Mining Sub-District, Hardin County, Illinois, USA.
