Superb Rich herringbone Silver in Calcite, Millerett Mine, Haultain Township, Ontario 12cm CO214
This is a top shelf specimen of very high grade Silver ore. The Silver exhibits an impressive herringbone and arborescent pattern in Calcite. The bright white Silver herringbones and arborescent patterns are coated in the shiny grey Cobalt arsenide. The is a saw cut piece. The uncut face clearly shows the Silver crystallization with plenty of bright Silver visible. Specimens of this quality are uncommon. A very rich piece of ore from the lesser known locality the Millerett Mine Haultain Township, Gowganda area Ontario Canada. This mine had very rich veins but production only lasted from 1909 until 1912 as the ore ran out. Specimens are not frequently seen on the market. Dimensions 12x5x1.75 (tapering to .5cm)cm 204 grams.
